Legal Structure & Benefit Corporations – Scale Your Startup
January 10, 2019 | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Join us for the fifth in a series of FREE workshops for entrepreneurs called Scale Your Startup, hosted at the LBCC Lebanon Center, Room LC-200.
In this workshop we are privileged to host 2 guest speakers from the Portland area, Tom Hering with Benefit Corps for Good and Michael Jonas of Rational Unicorn Legal Services. Tom and Michael will speak about legal structures for startups, and discuss how Oregon companies with social or environmental missions can legally register as Benefit Corporations with the State of Oregon. This workshop includes a presentation mixed with written exercises and worksheets, so please bring a pen and notebook!
Entrepreneurs who attend a minimum of 4 workshops in this series, including the 2 “pitching” workshops, can apply to pitch their startup at the Oregon RAIN Winter PitchFest in front of angel investors and VC firms!
For more information, please contact Corey Wright at email@example.com.
Oregon RAIN would like to thank the Linn Benton Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Linn Benton Community College for partnering with us to provide the workshop location. This workshop series is made possible by funding from the recipients of a Rural Opportunities Initiative grant by Business Oregon, the cities of Lebanon, Monroe, Sweet Home, Harrisburg, Halsey, Philomath, Brownsville, and Adair Village, and The Ford Family Foundation.
