Ready To Make It Rain?

The RAINmaker Accelerator is hosted online via Zoom & Slack, and available to any Oregon startup/small business to help entrepreneurs navigate the challenges associated with COVID-19. This 10-week series is designed to help founders/owners learn from business experts about sales and marketing. Graduates of this course will gain practical knowledge, tools, and techniques that can be immediately applied to their business!

Benefits of attending the program include:

  • Develop your skills and understanding of sales funnels, sales channels, CRMS, sales calls, and Google/Facebook Ads.
  • Be inspired by motivational speakers and a cohort of fellow entrepreneurs all experiencing the impact of COVID-19.

  • Get connected to mentors, stakeholders, venture catalysts, and service providers ready to help you succeed.
  • Take a deeper dive into digital platforms and harnessing the power of analytics to make data-driven decisions.
  • Gain the confidence to invest in the most critical part of your business: making it rain revenue!

Applicant Requirements:

  • Willing to commit to attending at least 8 of the 10 workshop sessions.
  • Willing to put effort into completing the assigned weekly homework.
  • Commit to meeting with mentors and venture catalyst outside of the normal workshop sessions.
  • Engage with your fellow entrepreneur cohort members.
  • Access to a computer and internet connection. (If you don’t have these, reach out—we can help.)
  • We estimate the series to require a time commitment of 5-10 hours per week, including attending classes.
  • Commit to logging in on-time, as classes will begin promptly at 9:00 AM.

Oregon RAIN reserves the right to refuse or rescind admission into the RAINmaker Accelerator to anyone.

July 8 – Kickoff Week

The start of the 10-week accelerator! We’ll cover intros, hear an inspirational sales story from a successful entrepreneur, and go over logistics for the program.

July 15 – Name That Customer

The core of every good business is a deep understanding of your customer. This workshop focuses on learning from your customers about their needs, then developing personas that drive all your marketing activities.

July 22 – Revenue Projections & Market Sizing Made Fun

How big is your target market and how much of it can you expect to capture? We will help you answer both questions and develop 3-year revenue projections in a fun, hands-on workshop!

July 29 – Digital Marketing 101

The online world is a big, complicated, and evolving space. We’ll go over the most important things to prioritize including SEO, social media, and email campaigns.

August 5 – Selling Using Google & Facebook

Learn Facebook and Google Ads essentials, and how to harness the power of analytics to make data-driven decisions!

August 12 – Sales 101

Learn about sales funnels, channels, and how to organize a manageable Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to keep your leads engaged and your customers happy.

August 19 – Dollars & Sense

Learn about how to build out your pricing for your products, and the important role margins play.

August 26 – Make it RAIN!

We’ll help you take the fear out of selling so you can feel empowered to go out there and MAKE IT RAIN!!!

September 2 – Cohort’s Choice

This workshop is kept intentionally open to allow us to adapt to the needs and interests of the cohort!

September 16 – Graduation

Our motto has always been “What’s Next?” This final session is dedicated to hearing your plans to move forward and reflecting/reviewing what you’ve learned!
